Howdy y'all, I've read a lot of great info on this site and would like to thank everyone for their help and knowledge.

My pop gave me this 94 wagon and as I'm sure u all know it came with lots of issues. I'm sure I'll eventually fill out my profile and along with that, my quest that is, The VO.

Currently i purchased the bilstein touring strut kit and the hardware kit with the XC90 bushing from FCP. Along with the torque mount bushing on the fire wall and the arm bushing, as well as a tie rod kit, inner/outer/hardware everything.

I know i need to get this bad boy aligned once I'm finished with all the suspension work. What I'm concerned about is the sudden tightness of all these components, that have been vibrating and shaking and moving around for far too many miles/years. I think i read something during all my research into this car, and that's why I'm writing this post. I remember reading something about the bearings in the motor or transmission, or seals, or SOMETHING that can defunct prematurely because the suspension was shot for too long.

Well that's the main focusat the moment, I'm writing this on my phone and the suspension is on its way. I was hoping that some of you guys/gals out there have gone thru this process, and had some advice or had an experience that was unusual concerning the aftermath in any other components not normally affected.

If the car is running well with no other unusual noises, then probably worrying about nothing. Could other stuff like axle seals and the like fail. Again possible once everything is aligned in terms of engine mounts. Check the engine mount under the RH end of the engine (passenger side). This one fails with age allowing engine to move, particularly if the top and bottom torque mounts have been bad for a while. You can test the mount by removing the passenger front wheel, and placing a jack with a piece of wood under theoil pan and carefully raising the engine on that side and look for any separation between the rubber section and metal by the crank pulley.

Yep, the one thing I thought of when reading your post was the front engine mount, located under the crank pulley inside the passenger wheel well. Check that.

Otherwise just keep an ear out for issues after you swap in all that new stuff. Control arms are worth looking at, but no need to replace unless they are shot.
