XC90 whooshing noise under acceleration
XC90 whooshing noise under acceleration
After replacing power steering rack i noticed a whooshing or new sound coming from the the drivers side vent when accelerating. does not do it when in neutral revving in up. I took it in to local volvo mechanic and had it smoke tested and the turbo checked. All good. They said it could be PCV system. I just redid all of the pcv system with no change in the sound although that needed to be done. Any help on this.

Before the repair, was the rack noisy and possibly masking the "new" noise?

1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)
