Just curious who else is rolling around with substantial mileage on the clock? It always amazes me how durable these things are.

I'd be willing to bet on the 240, 740, 940 cars there are quite a few over 500K, possibly even possibly one or two of the older 240s at over a million. I'm at 160K on my 04 S80. Two years ago I was at 110K.
You might consider adding a poll something like this;
100K
150K
200K
250K
300K
350K
400K
And so on up to a million.
The highest mileage car in the Guiness Book of World Records is a Volvo with over 3 million miles. The engine coming apart by Castrol for inspection at 3 million miles is on YouTube. The owner says all he did was the 3,500 recommended oil changes at the dealer with the Castrol GTX oil and all the maintenance recommended by Volvo. June

I’ve actually got a 240 that’s north of half a million, doesn’t seem too uncommon on the 40 series cars. I’m mainly curious if the 5 cylinders will go the distance, our v70 is creeping up on 300k and still runs like a new one.

I'm closer to 300 now than I am to 200! Right at about 261,000 miles now in the ole 2000. She's 18 years old...

And so on up to a million.
After raising two children, a husband, several dogs, a million meals, the PTA, and 12 years of school traffic twice a day per child! I have exceeded my mechanical limits! I couldn't resist! LOL
Baby my 2004 S80 T6 has 160K. Since your poll starts at 250K it'll be a couple years before I can click one.
Baby spent her first 12 years driving a two mile round trip to the school and back twice to three times a day depending on the year. My grocery store was only three blocks further. So the odometer only rolled a couple miles per day, but the car idled a good hour a day. In March 2016 I had the timing belt replaced at 109K. So December 2003 to March 2016 I only drove 109K, but from March 2016 through now the odometer went from 109K to 159K.
Once I became free of being a taxi for my children which kept the odometer low, I have spent the last 2 years running 25K a year on her trying to keep up with my elderly parents needs who should not drive for everyone's safety. I figure in less than two years Baby will hit 200K. She has been in the shop for two weeks now due to a rear main seal leak and I have put over 1,000 miles on the service loaner. Even though I am driving a loaner 2018 XC90 T6 I really miss my S80 T6 and can't wait to get her back! June

My S70 T5 is almost at 260k miles. Bought her at 238k 2 years ago and fell in love. Shooting for 300k and beyond after getting to full stage 0 this summer.
I believe there is at least 1 documented Volvo 240 at 1 million miles.

I think Irv Gordon’s P1800 Volvo cracked 4,000,000 recently?

The phrase "working mothers" is a woman who holds down a job in the workplace as well as her duties inside the home.abscate wrote: 19 Apr 2018, 04:24 I think Irv Gordon’s P1800 Volvo cracked 4,000,000 recently?
