Will the key work in the trunk? Above the license plate is a round black rubber plug with a keyhole behind it. June

If you have AAA they will come. If not to prevent damaging the car you will likely need a professional locksmith with the tools to go under the door glass belt molding to inside the car to pull the door handle inside the car. It is a strange long bent looking tool. Don't let the top of the door to be pried, that is incorrect and anyone trying that is not a professional. June

The key should unlock the trunk, it's mechanical not electrical, it would even trigger the alarm. Try again with the trunk, if it doesn't turn (same for the door), keep putting a little bit of pressure on the key while turning left-right and so on. Don't force, just a bit of pressure. At some moment it will give up all of a sudden and turn properly.
