Stubborn CV axle (passenger side). S40

Post by JDsNikon »

Hi everyone

Ok, I am at the end of my patience here.

Trying to remove (and replace) the passenger side CV axle on a 2010 S40 2.4i

Everything I'm reading/seeing shows removing the hub bolt, disconnect the steering arm. Turn the wheel one direction and it should just come out of the wheel hub.

It's loose, (the spline slides in and out of the hub) But it just doesn't have enough travel to make it all the way out of the wheel hub

I've removed the center bracket as well.

I give up, what's the trick here???

Thanks

I don't recall the hub/strut, etc. having to be pulled out of the way. Believe there's a video on this over on Swedespeed... You might go try a search there.
