Hi guys,
I am looking for instruction on how to replace the power steering high pressure hose (from the pump to the rack) and I don't seem to find it any where for my car: 2004 Volvo XC90 2.5T AWD
it started to leak and sprayed oil all over the engine compartment and alternator, belt..etc...do you recommend that I use some sort of degreaser spray to remove the oil?
Thanks

At least a good sudsing of car wash soap using care around alternator and sensors. Not familiar with the 2.5, but when I pulled the subframe from my T6, there were a couple bolt-on clamps, and plastic clips. other than that, it's a matter of finding out how to snake the line in or out. You may need to disconnect a motor mount. Best of luck
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

- How many km/miles?
- Use only Volvo OEM hose b/c this is high-pressure hose.
- Below is the video for 2004 S60 Ps Pump (just the pump but you get the idea):

- At 120K miles, it is a bit early why that hose went south.
- Usually that high-pressure hose from the PS Pump lasts > 160K miles.
