V50 Transmission flush. How to disconnect this quick connect connector.

Post by Sardine » Mon May 28, 2018 2:19 am

I'm trying to flush my 2005 2.4i V50, I think I've found the oil line between the transmission cover and the oil cooler. The problem is I can't find a way to remove the connector.
Haynes manual simply say "quick-release connector."
VIDA says "The quick-release connectors for the oil line are detached by pressing the clutch housing towards the cover/oil cooler. Hold the connection housing in this position. Pull back the lugs on the connector on the connection housing. Pull the connector off the cover/oil cooler."
Needless to say, this did not do much. I do see two green buttons on the connector but it's impossible, without tool, to press both at the same time. There is simply not enough room in there.
Have I identified the wrong hose?
