As Usenet posts were decreasing, forum posts were increasing in that era. I suspect most of these Usenet groups are dead now.

With electric vehicles on the horizon, and when used mainstream, forums based upon gasoline based vehicles will become history too.

Just like in recorded music formats (78 RPM, 45 RPM, 33 RPM, cassettes, CDs), most have become history. And with time, it may all be in digital formats
