Spoiler V70 97

Post by Wazza » Thu Jun 14, 2018 7:27 am

Can anyone help me? My 1997 V70 was recently vandalised. I’m not sure whether the spoiler needs replacing or not- when the insurance company took the car it had been tilted downwards but was still attached to the car. My question is- if it is broken and needs to be removed, could I get away with not having one? I’m not sure how it’s fixed onto the car? Would it leave holes in the body of the car?

Thanks in advance

They are glued on and so should not have any holes left. They are attached by brackets on the upper hinges. Check if they are still ok and if yu decide to remove it completely make sure you do not break the brackets as they are no longer available! If you remove it you may be able to sell it on or at least sell the brackets!
