My '98 S70 is on it's last leg and I was changing the front left tire to put on the spare and I stupidly did not chock the rear wheel
and the car rolled forward and came down on the rotor. It broke the tie rod at the joint. My stupid question is can I drive the car for a short distance without causing any more damage?

Too high of risk to reward. Have it towed.

Maybe out to the street to get it towed, or 1000 yards to a local shop at 5 mph at 0300 hours.

If the tie rod separates, the wheel will flop inward and stop you short, hard.

abscate, the tie-rod is already separated from the lower point of contact. Kind of like a ball joint connection.

If it is snapped off inside the tie rod end, the car is stuck and needs towing.

If it broke the nut off, you could clamp it and crawl it somewhere, and I mean 5 mph or less.
