Last night we were having some bad storms in Oklahoma, didn't want hail beating my beautiful XC90. About 4am I pulled it into the garage and left it there unlocked.
This morning I had to check on the baby out in the garage, and opened the driver side door. The garage door just opened.
I closed the garage door and did some testing to rule out coincidence.
I locked the car, with the garage door closed, then unlocked the car. The garage door opened immediately.
I backed the car out into the driveway and locked it. Closed the garage door, Then unlocked the car and it opened the garage door.
Is this a hidden feature? or do I have a homelink malfunction? It rained hard on the car for about 4 hours before I parked it into the garage if that helps.

So... I feel really dumb.
Upon further inspection the first homelink button was stuck slightly cocked in the homelink bezel. I suppose the small vibration from locking and unlock was enough to activate it.

Nice find, that was a pretty creepy behavior. Perhaps when the car doors got closed/opened, the power to the homelink was going on/off having the stuck button operate the garage door

At first it was cool, I thought, nice feature volvo. The real problem started when I hit the unlock button while it was in the driveway and it opened the garage. If I were to back out while it were stuck it would have surely opened the door without me noticing and leaving the garage exposed for 9 hours while I worked.
