Power steering leak from return line

Post by jeffsws »

Hello.

My 850 has been sitting for a long time, but finally got it moving. Once I got home I got some food and for whatever reason decided to look under the car... and notice quite a sizable fresh puddle of fluid on the floor. Thought it was engine or transmission oil at first but found it to be power steering fluid. Following the leak it appears to be coming from the return line (part 9140001), the section where the rubber line ends and the solid begins. Check the link below for a picture to see what I mean. The rubber line part is dry, so it's not coming from above.

From what I can tell that line is one piece? It's not possible to remove the rubber section and add a new one?

Is this a common place for it to leak? Would leak stop fluid help here?

Cheers for any help.
Jeff
