Does anybody have photos or a good diagram of vacuum lines??

Post by pigpete »

Ok I performed a oil trap change today.
I had alot of stinky smoke so I bought a kit from Fcp. Took my intake manifold off etc. I replaced all the hoses and broke a injector in the process!! (Does anyone have a spare?) I found the wierd electrical thing down by the turbo on the intake air hose side blocked with carbon. What the hell is this?? I cannot find anyone selling this. pn 3900160977 or 1367839. Has a nasty frayed rubber grommet on it and a electrical connection. Looks like something to so with vacuum regulation.
Cleaned all the carbon out of all parts. Then now Im left with lots of hoses here and there. The Blow up diagram somebody posted is not much help and the photos I took are not much better.

The device in the photo has a bayonette connector on it...it twists and pushes on. the long pipe (nipple) the hose connects to has to be cleaned out...ream it straight through with alcohol and a pipe cleaner with brissles in it. The device hooks up to electricals to heat the air in the vacuum hoses to keep condensation down. Look under your hood...on the underside of it, near the passenger side you should see a vacuum hose diagram. It's so small that it will be worth taking a digital picture of it so you can make sense out of it.
Good luck!
Btw, It's not my site....Matthew has done all of the work here...I was just asked to help out, I guess because I seem to post an awful lot on here. My main duties are to delete spam posts...LOL.
