ATF filter?

Does anyone know if my 2002 V70 has a automatic transmission filter? I believe it is the Aisin-Warner but not sure of the exact part number.

Yes. But it is not serviceable without transmission removal and partial disassembly. Primary filtration is sediment collection on bottom of case. Drive car and then immediately drain the transmission to get the bulk of the sediment out.

Yeah, easy to change once you have removed the transmission, split the bellhousing off of it and removed the pump assembly and clutch packs for 1-2.

It's at the bottom the picture below.

Magnefine, WIX, ACDelco and others make 'em.

The inline filter in a cooler line works well. It won't help you if your sump filter is clogged, though.
