Parts picking 1999 V70
On 07/17/2018 I'll be head to the local Pick-in-Pull to to pick a 1999 V70 that just came in, I need a couple of sensors for my '98 C70. Are there any scarce parts I should pick and save for the DIY community?

I'm intrigued for what you are after given that so few sensors from a 99 will fit a 98. Baro and altitude sensors, acceleration sensor, maybe oil pressure sensor, that's probably it? Did a couple of these more obscure, never-break sensors actually go bad on you?
Electronic throttle bodies are always in demand, would never hurt to grab that if it's been replaced.

The Cab temperature sensor and Altitude sensor are the two I'm going after for the C70.
The Cab temperature sensor which goes for $170.00 new, $4.50 - $22.24 at the P-N-P depending on what they mean by Sensor, Sensor (g-4), Sensor (g-5).
Altitude sensor, which keep the C70 from starting the last time the temperature dropped to 0°F. Which goes for $140.00 new, same prices as above at the P-N-P.
Throttle bodies $38.40 + $8.00 core. No way to tell if one is good so picking and stashing is a gamble. I reckon if one is nice and shiny I should roll the dice.
Laminated trim in good shape has a low risk. On a previous trip I picked up a $400.00 Mahogany center console trim for $7.50.

Crap I need something for my 99 and can’t remember what it was...
Most of those sensors won’t port from 98 to 99.
I think you know about white vs yellow label ETB , Rick?
Driver door window switch if in good shape
Tailgate latch if gate closes cleanly
CVVT hub if you’ve got tools
CVVT solenoid(s)
Ignition coils check dates
Both AC sensors, unscrew
If you can bring in a cutter, hard AC lines are expensive items and last forever
Check valves in induction and Evap hose are NLA, should be three if them
Ignition switch electrical part
AC cabin temp sensor/fan in dash
Have a look at my parting out 99 thread for other ideas of what I stripped. I got lucky with that one as I got the whole car for $500 and had buyers for metal work and engine in one week.

Looks like you might have a buyer for the ETB , too, if I don’t get him first

Lots of work but axle shafts are big. Ill confess I did not pull them off my parts car, though. If you were after steering knuckles and brake parts, would be worth the extra work

Axles are huge if they are in good shape on the donor. Ignition switch - smart call. Yellow sticker is your friend on the ETB but I hear you, it's a gamble when you're not needing one right now.

Got there keep getting rained on, decided this is not a good day, picked up and went home.
Did get the Cab temperature sensor, no more ECC DCTs. Lucked out on the Altitude sensor, the '99 V70 has the bracket but not the wiring harness. Inspecting the bracket it is clear there never has been a Altitude sensor there.
I will be going back for the driver's door Lock/Switch. Same part number on the '98 C70 and '99 V70. My dome lights are acting up, don't come on when I unlock the door or open the door but flicker when ever I close the door.
Checked out the Tailgate latch, no slack, opens with light finger pressure. Gate opens and closes smooth as glass.
The ETM is a yellow label.
Seats don't look too bad. I did not look real close when I was there.
