Front seat replacements

Good day guys. I have another wierd question.

what other volvo front seats will work in the 850 Im not too happy with the shape and they dont have much bucket to them.
is there another option i can look out for or should I just go aftermerket. Im not to worried about the airbags and such.

I think I remember seeing v70 seats work..

Make sure to test the spinning wheels on the side of the seat. Sometimes people don't even realize that it is a back support feature and can really change the feel of the seat.

I think you might be the first to want to change a P80seat , which is regarded as the most perfect seat made

If the issue is that the seat is actually too worn - which causes the cushion and spring base to get softer, maybe try to change the cushion and spring base from a front passenger seat that's in good shape (junkyard, etc).

MDK here. You can use any front seats up to 2000 model S70 or V70..(car/wagon)...

this is basicaly the standard seats which im not to fond of. I know a lot of guys are going to swear at me for this.

There might be some seat options in the Performance Fora or Maybe even Swede speed?

We do like the stock seats over here.

Just to clarify, the 70 series seats, up through 2000, do bolt in but it takes a change in the seat belt anchor to accomplish it.

The seat belt change isn't particularly painless but it can be done.

The P2 seats, 2001 and up have very different mounts and without completely re-engineering the floor of the car or the seat frame they will not fit. The SIPS bags on the 70 series seats are electronically triggered and will be non functional in an 850 but your '94 never had them anyway so it isn't a loss.

The seat belt on your '94 does have an electronically triggered "tightener" that is part of the SRS system so if you have to mess with it be sure to disconnect the battery and have your radio code handy.

I do have airbags in my seats as well. dont know if the SA versions are different than yours. I noticed them when i fixed the reclining motor. I was even thinking if I might not look at moding the seat frame itself. I did it years ago with one og my Ford escorts that i fit Golf MK1 gti seats in. those were nice sears.

850R or 1998-2000 V70R seats are your easiest bet, but aren't nearly as supportive as those Focus ST seats. S60R/V70R seats can be installed with some modifications.

850R:

V70R:
