seat switch question - non heated to heated

Post by frisky99 »

99 s70
Can I put in heated seats(switching out the whole seats) with just adding the fuse and switches , the module should be on the seat already. Am I missing something ? I assume the wiring is present in all cars. Thanks , Frisky

Yep.

And there is a little silver relay in the fuse box, grab that from the junkyard. One relay per seat.

Actually it’s a circuit breaker, but yeah,
make sure you snag those up or your
seats will remain unheated. Sad. :|

Get the seats from a 99 or 00 year as the 98 is not compatible.

And remember not to power up a 99- with the seat air bag disconnected, or you have to pay a $150 dealer SRS reset tax...or find a friend

Thanks for the responses , I will give it a try. And as abscate mentioned the air bag plug, I can see where it can be overlooked.
