Missfire

Hi everyone
I've had a slight missfire for a while, I've changed spark plugs, coil packs and fuel filter but it's made no difference, I've finally narrowed it down to it only happens when I'm taking a left hand turn/bend.ive checked for bad connections in wires etc but can't find anything

Do you have any codes for the misfire?

Since you say it's only on left turns, how old is your fuel pump? Maybe the sock is clogged up with dirt? The pump could even just be weak. Just an idea.

I've had failing fuel pump relays give random missfires.

Does the misfire happen with a full tank? If it only happens when making a hard left, maybe an exposed wire is touching something and shorting out?

I have no codes I've just replaced the plugs again with a old set of genuine Volvo ones that were working fine before I serviced it a while back and filled the tank with fuel and so far so good
A few weeks ago the fuel tank was nearly ran dry and maybe it has sucked some crap up , is it possible to clean out the pump and is it a big job to do it

Not a huge job. I would recommend changing the fuel pump with an OEM Bosch. You can probably find it cheaper, but you can't go wrong with FCP's warranty. I don't know how much shipping to the UK will be though. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-s70-v70

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the issue, though, if the fuel tank was run extremely low.
