2008 xc90 glove box stuck

Hi, anyone out there have any ideas on how to get the glove box open. Maybe the lock mechanism is broken. Anyway it's in the closed position and I need help to somehow open it. Thanks.

Wow, no idea. Is there any access if you remove the end cap panel from the dash? I think it can just be pried away?

I won't be much help with this but took a few photos for someone else with a bad latch some time ago, maybe this will give you an idea how the latch assembly works- https://photos.app.goo.gl/koaxLNz0HYmZCl2a2

There is absolutely no way of opening it. End caps doesn't give access to the locking hooks. Thanks to the pics of the lock mechanism, I managed to stick a thin screwdriver thru the lock handle and managed to flick the bar on the lock mechanism which released the locking hooks and the glove box popped open. And yes, the plastic arm that slides the locking bar has broken off. The pics help give me an understanding on how the locks work. Thanks again.
