Last autumn I had a weird ticking sound coming from the car. No other symptoms. Drove well. No codes. Eventually I put my hand behind the engine by chance and felt puffs of warm air.

Turned out one bolt from the manifold had fallen out and one of the gaskets was sitting slightly off. A new bolt later everything was fine.

So if you're hearing the below sound, check the exhaust.

Rattnalle, I promoted your account to MVS Contributor. You've helped Volvo owners so many times, and you haven't even been here one year.

Let me know if you want to keep your avatar as is, if you would like the standard MVS Contributor avatar, or if you would like a mash-up of the two.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
