I have been reading alot about the fluids in my 2005 XC90 AWD 2.9. I get alot of information, sometimes too much. I am a basic learner but am acquiring much knowledge here.
Since I have owned the Volvo, (my first), I have learned that it has not been properly taken care of as far as maintainence is concerned; (even though it has been serviced by a Volvo Dealer. As such I am playing catch up both on the maintainence and on my knowledge.
Please may I have:
Fluid for Front axle assy: (Best fluid to use and weight)
Fluid for Rear differential: (Best fluid to use and weight)
Haledex fluid:
Thank you.
I wish to change all next week.

Look here, post #6: https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthrea ... e-complete.
Your XC90 has the GM 4T65E transmission and takes 5 different fluids.
Transmission, Chain Housing, Angle Gear, AOC (Haldex), and Rear Differential.
I would just match fluid specs except for the Chain Housing and AOC (Haldex) where I would buy Volvo fluids just to make sure you get the right stuff (GL4 is hard to find, but common if you do some serious digging, so you can substitute if you are certain). Change your AOC (Haldex) filter while you are at it. The price of the Volvo fluid (Chain Housing and AOC (Haldex) is not bad if you order it from a third party or out of state dealer, group the shipping for both bottles and the price is close to all the substitutes.
