Nivomat code M

Post by AlanKot »

Hey everyone,

I know this topic has been discussed so many times at this point but I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference between green, yellow and purple (I think) nivomats. I have a 98 XC that has a leaking shock. I really don’t want to spend $700 on a new pair. I have seen some really clean used ones on eBay but they are for suspension code 6. Right now I have yellows on but the suspension code is M, so who knows if the previous owner put them on or not. Anyway, can I put a code 6 Nivomat on my XC?
Thanks as always!

Alan

XC have a longer Nivomat than the other AWD/R models and FWD models. Yellow band is the correct version.

Green is for AWD/R models and is shorter in length.

Don't have access to Vida just now to check what a '6' fits.

Maybe try Erie V0-Vo and see if they have a good used set?
