Power Wrench for Suspension Work

Post by Mattbchillin »

Looks like I will be doing some suspension work in the near future (control arms, some bushings, etc) Im so tired of spraying rust be gone and using a 3-4ft breaker bar. I don't have the ability to use air tools. So I have been looking at the plug in wrenches.
Anyone use one that can give some buying advice?

I have 2 of these beasts so I will get some use out of it.

Thanks
Matt

Dewalt DCF899, pin detent or hog ring version (I have hog ring, makes getting sockets off easier but costs more). I liked the 899 so much that I purchased the smaller DCF887 to keep it company.

Just be careful if you use it to tighten wheel nuts, if you have one of these you'll know what I mean.

I use a corded DeWalt. Overall I have been happy with it, been at least 5 years.

Does not like extenders as torque basically disappears when using them. Also needs to be very true to the bolt for optimum power. It is heavy and large so sometimes that is a challenge. Overall highly recommend.
