2008 XC90 3.2 - Engine Stumbles / Lacks Power / Some Knocking/ Lots of codes

Post by portugalimports »

Volvo XC90 2008 3.2 - 77,000 miles only basic mechanical maintenance until now no significant problems with car before but now ....

Engine Stumbles / Lacks Power / some Knocking/ RPM can run high and engine will lag to change gears.

Recent History
2 Months Ago - Battery Draining and died - Replaced Alternator (possible not compatible aftermarket parts?)

Car ran perfect for a few days then these codes appeared :

P0076 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Low Bank 1

P001E - A Camshaft Profile Control Circuit Low Bank 2

P0458 - EVAP System Purge Control Valve A Circuit Low

P0369 - Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Intermittent Bank 1

P001B - A Camshaft Profile Control Circuit Low Bank 1

O Reilly shop guys pulled these additional codes also with their scanner.

P1719 - Engine Torque Signal
P061A-62 - Internal Control Module Torque
P06A1- 00 - Variable Air Conditioning Compressor Control Unit

And coincidentally AC went out.

Replaced:

Camshaft Sensor
Crankshaft position sensor
Evap Canister Sensor Wiring - Repaired by splicing cable. Was damaged after alternator repair not properly tied down and heat melted into wiring.

Not sure what to try next, anyone can share some ideas?

Despite this being an XC90, I'd suggest also asking on the S60 forum, the XC90 section has fewer views..
