The view point is from facing the left front headlight, just in front of the battery.
Do these perhaps control the left headlamp's mini-wiper? I had them disabled a few years ago, just want worth replacing those blades every few months.

Does your car have headlight wipers? If so there will be one either side behind each headlight. Disconnected as it probably was either broken or blowing fuses.

Yep...except they are not red...they are brown.

I think they are ochre with a leaning to a taupe accent. We need to be more precise in these Fora.

Hmm..3 wires... then I don't know what these are. I found only these 2. I will look for a 3rd. If anyone has a picture of what the wiper connectors should look like that would be helpful.

The connector pictured, the headlight wiper motor wiring, has 3 wires in the photo. Red, yellow, and black. Red is 31 supply, yellow is the power on from wiper relay, and blk is ground. The red will power it to park position if power is cut off on yellow.
The protection PTC resistor is what does these in. If you want a project you remove the motor and pop the clips off and pry it apart and make a jumper and toss the PTC rectangular shaped wafer. I had some 10 gauge Romex that I cut a short piece of and stripped and then hammered it flat and cut to length as jumpers. The wipers go way faster and always park with this fix. If they are frozen to headlight or lodged off the edge then the motor will either strip gears, strip wiper arm attachment or burn up motor or maybe blow fuse. Those are the risks to the protection override.

So add a 5A in-line fuse as I suggested. It will blow that without taking out the rest of the system and a chance it will not blow the whole wiper system. If anyone knows how much power the motor should use you could adjust the fuse requirement to nearer that value to ensure failure rather then breakage.
