Greetings,
Both metal support bars (once glued to the glass) on my sunroof have fallen off and I'm now getting lots of wind noise from up there - very annoying and I'm also worried about water leakage as winter approaches. Can anyone recommend an adhesive to permanently reattach these? Can't see investigating other potential issues with integrity/sealing until this is accomplished......read here where someone tried epoxy and failed......JB weld? Silicon? Other?
All adhesive suggestions and application hints welcome and appreciated.
Bruce

I have found when dealing with glass it is not the glue so much as the surface prep. You need to apply hydrochloric acid to the glass (tape off carefully). This will fog the glass and allow the epoxy or glass glues to bond.

I should have added that this acid is in products labeled as etching cream or other etching products.
Those semi opaque designs you see on glass, are where acid or etching creams have been applied.
I once super glued a rear view mirror back on my windshield after etching it with acid.It never fell off again.
