1999 S70 MCC AC/Heat Unit head. 3524842

Hi guys. I'm new here. Buying a 99 s70 tomorrow for $500. Got 180k miles. Needs a lot of work but in mint cond. Even seats look new cause everything was covered and garaged. One thing that is busted on the inside is AC Heat control unit. I went to 4 junk yards and all had them in 98-2000 volvos but the units had sliding fan speed control. Ebay sells dozens of the same (sliding) with 4 buttons. Mine has round knob with 2 buttons. For the life of me I can not find a matching part. I've looked at hundreds of pictures, all show sliding unit. What am I missing here. Picture attached. Mine is on the right side.

The one on the left is ECC (electronic climate control) and the right is MCC (manual). The manual one is cable operated, and comes in the base models. They aren't too common, which is why you aren't seeing many (if any) of them.
If you're searching on eBay, try to add "MCC" or "manual climate control" to your search. Someone on this site may even have one for you. Unfortunately I don't have on sitting on the shelf currently.

Found one on Ebay for $315. That's crazy. ECC unit sells for $20, the MCC is $315.

I just visited 2 more junk yards. One had close to dozen 99-00 Volvos. Every unit was ECC. Never ran into a Volvo that was different than 99% of all other Volvos.

Ouch, that's steep for a climate control unit. You don't always think that the lower end, base model option is the more expensive one later on!

I know. And this base model V70 is loaded. leather everything, power everything, heated seats, sunroof. Someone ordered the base model with everything as option.

One of the few parts like that that make sense to buy new! I'd do this if you can't find a cheaper one used.
