2000 Volvo s70 GLT SE acceleration issue
So i recently purchased a 2000 Volvo s70 GLT SE with76k miles and i love it to death. However about 5 months into owning it i started to get some serious issues. One day my battery died and after it completely dieing i got a replacement battery and after getting everything hooked up the issues began. I understand you have to relearn the throttle and have tried my best to do such on the highway ( Hawaii has short roads, horrible mechanic laws,and little to no foreign mechanics). Now it struggles on start up and the throttle struggles with little to no power until the car is decently warmed up. After it’s warmed the issue gets better but still have next to no power and it limps along. I have no ets light on, however upon startup it flashes for a brief second. Any advice guys?!

Sorry you're having trouble Jbird.
There could be a whole horde of things wrong, but it's not a good idea to throw parts at it - it gets expensive very quickly.
So you have to go through the motions.
- Check your codes. Either read them yourself if you have a tool, or stop by a dealership or shop with a code reader.
- Check your hoses. My personal estimation is that 80% of troubles where the car runs but is cranky AF are vacuum related. There are a lot of hoses, so start with the big ones and check for leaks. Then on to the smaller vacuum hoses.
- MAF. Good, bad or ugly?
- Temp sensors. Check and/or replace.
Your vintage of X70 does have issues with the throttle body, which will also cause the symptoms you're describing, though as far as I understand, the ETS light should be on if it was shot. First thing first though - read codes! And tell us what they are, if any.
