not the unhandiest guy around but too often stumped on electrical connectors since on different cars I see different ones and often an exercise in futility figuring out how they separate.
Wanting to so a simple replacement of oxygen sensor on 01 S60 and I could piddle with this connector forever and still not have a clue how to separate--------so frustrating when something that should be simple becomes the hardest most time consuming part of a simple job.
The attached pic is not the connector for the sensor just one that looks like it that I could get a decent pic of. Can someone pleeeeeze tell me how this separates, totally stumped by it all

As mentioned, depress in the midle of the bottom of the U, depress with a screw driver while pulling on the connector. Even better ask someone to pull 9n it. It may be a bit stuck.

These things can drive you crazy. On the other hand, Volvo makes some of the most reliable connectors there are.
Try pushing it together when you depress the lock tang (above) then pull it apart.
