My volvo has been stalling on me lately. It doesn't matter if I'm at a stop or driving, the car loses power (gas doesn't help), and shuts off. After it stalls I usually can't restart it for a few hours. Sometimes I won't even have to drive, just turn the car on and off a few times then it won't start. When turning the key it cranks strong with the fuel pump coming on. I have just replaced the fuel pump relay, so I don't think that's the problem.

I'm thinking it could be hall sensor or IAC... Let me know what it sounds like. Also I need help locating one of those things if it sounds correct.

Mine was the wires behind and underneath the alternator. They were somehow connected to the oil pressure sender light in the dash that would malfunction and light on randomly or flicker. Once I messed with the wires by the alternator, the light went away and I rarely lost power while driving after that. The other thing I did was mess with the MAF unit on top of the air intake. Just unplug it(the plug, not the air intake), wipe on the metal plate, and give the unit a smack. Stopped 90% of my random hari kari malfunctions while driving.
