no tailight brakes

Hey all..MDK here. Well I have a new problem with my 2004 S60 R car. The dashboard says." Check stop lamp" I checked all the bulbs both sides and even replaced them with new ones. I plugged in my vida/dice and the new code at the top of the screen in photo provided says BCM not communicating with DEM ... I have the high stop mount working... would this have anything to do with the brake lights not working on the tailights? Any opinions appreciated...

Maybe check the REM fuse inside the trunk, behind the left cover

Check by pulling the fuse and then cleaning the darkened prongs do they conduct again

Okay thanks guys... I really appreciate that... it's actually intermittent. I just got back from the store and the light on the dash went out. You know in the old days... the seventies... I would have guessed that the brake switch on the pedal would be going out. I don't know if Volvo's have that... I don't know. Thanks again
