Dumb question, but what wipers do ya'll use? I'm looking for a blade type. Went to an Autozone yesterday, and I was as stumped about the wiper types as the employees were.
From what I've found, the V50/S40s use the "P&H Narrow" type wiper arm attachments. Some wiper brands have removable J-Hook adapters, exposing P&H mounts. Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction? I bought Rain-X and some Bosch blades to test, neither worked though and I had to return them. Kind of funny this "repair" is stumping me more than the upper coolant hose replacement I did last month (that lovely hose with 6 outlets).
Thanks!

Hello! Follow up here, I figured it out!
Autzone and Advance auto were both listing incorrect wipers as being compatible. From what I can tell, I think some early model V50s had a different wiper arm. Most after 2005 have the P&H (pin and hook) style wiper arms.
I found that the Bosch Icon OE wiper blades work just fine. The Icon wipers come in two model designations, the more widely available A model, and the OE model. Only the OE type works with P&H wiper arms.
Hope this helps if you've encountered the issue of an Autozone employee not being able to figure out wipers.

I also like the Bosch Icon, quiet and durable. I think Volvo is using Bosch as their wipers provider

But what is correct for the cargo bay back window? It looks like it has to be a "frameless wiper blade" to bend against that curved glass.
1982 240DL: Drove it 32 years and 1.5 million miles (sold, even still had mint leather!)
2001 v70 2.4T: The most expensive $1500 car I ever bought ("Volvo Turbo" - what an oxymoron!) (sold)
2004 v70: Far less fatally-flawed v70 - It served well (sold)
2010 v50: Smaller, slightly sportier wagon. Its got a spoiler, so I upgraded with sway bars!
