anyone have a problem with c70 flashing stc lamp with spare tire mounted

i have a 2003 volvo c70 and have a flashing stc lamp with spare tire mounted, what can cause this

It might be the difference in size between the tires and small spare is enough to trigger the wheel speed difference parameter in software - have a look in the owners manual to see if this is the case?

You can turn off STC with the button if it is coming on all the time`

speed limit with spare is 50 mph, are you going over that?

no it triggers at 25 MPH and puts the car in a low power mode and i cant go higher than 30 MPH

Check that your spare is identical in size to the stock one - size is in the owners manual, of course.

Also, I presume you are running the spare on the back and not the front.

the tire was on the front and it is the original spare size, i just shut of the TCS as recommended and it worked
