ECM 9150 - Volvo 2000 S80 2.9L non-turbo

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

ECM 9150 - Volvo 2000 S80 2.9L non-turbo

hi guys
i have Volvo S80 2.9L model year 2000 (non turbo) throwing ECM-9150 ETM internal fault (this pulled using iCarsoft 906 scanner) with orange triangle warning light / Engine system urgent message. the car only has 35000 miles. The car drives and no idle up and down issues just have just orange triangle and message engine system urgent.. I have white label ETM no recall update was done by previous owner.
Also, The couple of three weeks ago after filing up gas and coming to stop at traffic. The car suddenly started to spudder and no response to accelerator pedal i pulled to the side street restarted it came back to normal. I replaced the MAF sensor already but no avail and also cleared the DTC code with icarsoft 906 but the code ECM-9150 internal fault keeps coming back.

Does this sound like ETM is on its way to going bad? Is this like some kind of early warning from car computer? Can other things cause ECM-9150 internal fault code ?

It will keep coming back until you fix or replace the ETM.
Is ECM-9150 the only code?

Thanks for your help . Yes this is only codes ecm9150 that shows up with “engine system urgent” and orange triangle light on. Dash no check engine light anything . It drives Normal though no symptoms . I cleaned battery terminals and also replaced MAf sensor with no luck .

It is the ETM (Electronic Throttle Module) changing the MAF would have no effect.

Thanks . I made appt with dealership for Jan 21 here in nyc to see what they come up with :-).
I see posts about Xemodex etc here not sure if it work out of the box .
