i have an 06 s40 non turbo. needs an engine.around here the 2.5 is more available. can you change the cam cover separate from the head, or they machined to match. also though i am not considering going turbo, how is the compression difference accomplished? first post please be kind.

come on,somebody out there knows the answers. if the question is too stupid to reply to,then please say so. the oil fill on most of these engines is in the center, but my s40 oil fill is on the passenger side. if you can swap the cam cover it looks like many engines would work, but i expect the cam bores are line bored as an assembly. as to the compression difference, is it is done by using different heads with larger or smaller chambers, or by different pistons?
