1996 850 Turbo Sedan
I have a bulb out indicator that shows when I press the brake pedal, and I noticed the only light out is the Center brake light affixed to the rear glass. It's an "OSRAM GERMANY 1156....." bulb, which I tested and it is burned out.
Yesterday, Using a DMM, I tested the socket assembly and found the output voltage to be 11.56V . However, today I have no output voltage at the light, so I may have shorted something. My user manual says the Brake Light Fuse is #12 10A, which is fine, and brake lights still work, just not the Center brake light. So, this light circuit might be protected somewhere else other than Fuse #12.
Does anyone know if the Center Brake Light circuit is protected by another fuse? Or is there a suggested way to trace the circuit? I opened the trunk lid and do not see the wiring for this particular brake light. I may need to remove the rear dash board to see the where the wiring goes.

FIXED! I don't know how this happened, but I reassembled the light, using a known good bulb and started the car, no more bulb warning! And, the light is working. So, I must have made some type of mistake when troubleshooting, but it appears to be working fine now.
