Mysterious pink conector

Post by AfonsoF1999 »

Hello,
Recently while changing the air filter on my 97'V90 I pulled a cable out with this pink conector on the end, I spend a good hour trying to figure out where it plugs in and got nothing. Any help would be apreciated!

Photo of said conector:

The pink wire I know about is in the back. It either goes to the fuel pump or the antenna. One of those 2. I'm thinking the fuel pump.

I've never noticed the pink connector you show in the pic.

If you can, get a Volvo part number of it.

It pretty clear the pink part is just a holder to park the wires to an option you don't have. That is why you cannot find any place to connect the wire.

I'd be really curious as to where that wire set leads. I have not seen a connector like that used on any Volvo. Do you find the double scratch marks where that was stuck on the edge of some metal member like the core support leading to the hood latches? It isn't three wires so it is not a barometric sensor.
Is there some sort of alarm or other non volvo accessory on the car?

Hunch: Is this car equipped with Air conditioning?

So close, I sold my '97 S90 to a neighbor a few weeks ago. It is sitting right outside in the street and I cannot go take a peek.

I can't see any marks.
I think everithing on the car is stock, but don't know for sure.

The car does have AC, although it isn't working, maybe this is the culprit?
