The top portion of the manual lock 'pull' on our 96 850 broke off. What is left is just even with the top edge of the door window frame.

Is this 'pull' screwed onto the metal rod portion of the lock? i.e. Can I just remove one at a pick a part or possibly make my own replacement... I would remove/unscrew a 'pull' from one of the other doors to determine the appropriate thread size, etc.

Thks,
Dwight

It just threads on. Often they act like they are glued on and they break when you try to remove them at the pick-n-pull but if you can get one off without breaking it is should work fine. The problem is more of with the fragile plastic than it is that they are truly stuck.

Door panel comes off pretty easy and you could just get the knob and metal rod in one piece.
