Note it took 14 minutes, sitting at idle , for coolant to reach operating temperature
In contrast, my NA S70 of same year took only 4 minutes to reach the same temperature in town driving at 21F
My new to me S70 is the best starting car I've heard, only two chirs-Chirs and it comes to life.
I might do its first highway run on Tuesday and see how the mileage is

I really like the table of injector, MAF, temp vs time. I am going to save that as it could be useful some day. Thanks.
I don’t get the comparison of v70 idle vs s70 driving warm up time. Isn’t that apples oranges comparison?

Lessons to be learned here:
Don't warm your car idling.
Mileage in winter is less on short trips.
Electronic fuel injection is great. (Anyone remember manual chokes?)

Yes I unfortunately remember manual chokes! Having said that, my 122S would fire up on choke and as soon as you got moving you could usually switch it off. In the UK, the AA (AAA equivalent) used to say that start your car and get moving is the most efficient. That is true, but if you park your car outside in winters here in Canada, you can't see out for about 10 mins or more until the windshield clears on the inside!
