Post by loveMy850 » Thu Mar 07, 2019 11:41 am

Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me how to switch out the coolant level sensor on the '94' 850 resevoir tank. surely I dont have to drain the coolant do I, or can I just tip it unhook the sensor and pull it out from the bottom and insert the new sensor and plug it back in? please tell me yes. Thanks Guys

No coolant draining required. It doesn’t touch coolant but magnetically couples to the float inside

BUT

When you go to lift the coolant reservoir you have about 5 cm/ inches of wire slack , if you lift anymore you break the sensor

Ease it up slowly until you can disconnect the sensor plastic connector , then pull out and replace the sensor
