Removing the Bumper to Replace Washer Motor???
I'm going to be replacing the windshield washer pump motor in my 2000 Volvo V40 this weekend. Has anyone else done this? Do I really have to remove the bumper? Hoping there is a hack to get around that.

You don't remove the bumper to get to the pump. Lower the Splash Guard on the right hand side to access the pump from underneath.
If replacing only the pump, that should be enough. If replacing the whole Washer fluid reservoir you might need to remove a few other things to clear a path but, the bumper is not one of them things.

Whew, thanks. I had looked up the procedure and really did not want to have to go to all that trouble of removing the bumper to replace an $11.00 part. I had planned to start with the splash guard and then see what I could see, so thanks for the confirmation.
