Do the 2000s take 3309 or dex 3? I’ve read conflicting info.

There are so many variations

If it's an XC turbo P80 it takes Dex 3 and is the older 4 speed auto

If it's an R series turbo it takes 3309 and is a 5 speed auto

If it's a non turbo P80 it takes 3309 and is the first gen of the newer 5 speed auto.

If it's a P2 series then definitely a 3309 guzzler

It’s a non turbo p80, 3309 it is. I have a bunch leftover from doing a flush on my Saab (blasphemy) so that saves me some $$$

Per the 2000 V70 owners manual, Volvo 1161540.
Which is Fluid Type T-IV (ATF-0T4) JWS3309 for Aisin-Warner Transmissions.
