got a 2002 c70 2.3 last week hard to start, if and when It do start run fine until you cut it off. then will not start for a day or two. parts I change already throttle body with yellow sticker with 2011 date. and a crankshaft sensor. the man that sold car said he thinks it need a key.i don't think the key the problem. motor turn over fine and I rent fuel pressure gauge (47 psi).I can tell when ready to start the tach needle start jumping. any info is needed

ECT is known to cause hard starting and is often overlooked. Do you have a CEL, pull any codes? What shape are the plugs and coil packs in?

what ECT????? no code....plug are ok ,fuel pressure at 47psi.but I found the cam sensor housing broking sensor just hanging on.and someone installed new crank sensor that don't fit correctly they broke off the mount hole so bolt hole can line up.and the last thing I found they install a new immobilizer ring but plug connector is butted together......................oh what funnn

I think you now know why the guy said he think it needs a key. It would have been nicer if he had just told you he’s messed up the immobilizer

I have been living under the impression immobilizer = crank, no start, no spark, no fuel.

I put a new one on today 9442951 immobilizer.....still no start, just crank over......how do you check this immobilizer,its four wires two of them are for the light inside the rim......what I gotta ship of the key and module to have tested to see if working.or bend over and take to Volvo??????
