Volvo c70 Door lock problem

Hello , i have a problem with my driver side door lock, it doesnt work with the key at all. so i opened door panels etc so see whats going on there and saw that something is missing from the door lock rod that should connect to the lock mechanism.

the car is 98' volvo c70 2.3 T5

i try to link a pic here, so you guys can tell me whats the problem here and what i need to do , to get it working !
