Passenger Side View Mirror 2011 C70

In replacing the passenger side view mirror glass in 2011 C70, what is the proper position for the plastic tabs on the back side of the mirror?

There should only be one way the mirror itself can be oriented into the mirror housing. If you have the correct mirror, tabs should be pointed towards the car.
When removing the old mirror, did you properly separate it from the flat plastic "paddle" that the mirror is glued to? Or did you remove that still attached to the mirror?
