Cvvt hub question.....

Can I switch out he vvt hub for a regular hub on my 1999 volvo v70 xc

Also just last night the vvt solenoid started makeing like a frog noose when I would ture ignition to 3 but not crank it....and car wont start....

The answer to your first question is no, if your car has VVT, you need to use a VVT hub/cam gear.

As for the no-start issue, do you have any OBD2 codes?

low oil flow is the usual reason for your symptoms. The oil pan to sump, oil pump output to oil filter housing, and oil pickup tube are all pattern failure pieces on that car. You probably have the oil filler grate but you can pry the slats around so you can see down into head with flashlight and see what oil flow there is with it running.

Will check oil flow for sure....it may be my replacement fuel pump as well.....it makes all sorts of wierd noises and it only like 6 weeks installed ....makeing noise from start....can I put a basch replacement pump in a after market fuel pump houseing?

How should tje flow look....it is flying of the valves not to much but enuff to see the oil fling off......
