Volvo or Bosch battery source.

I have a weakness for pretty batteries that fit right. I need a new one and wonder if anyone has a source for Volvo or Bosch or other Japaneese/European batteries that are good. I assume they are too heavy to ship cheaply so is a dealership the only option? I usually use ac Delco but I don't feel they are as good as they used to be and arn't a perfect fit for the terminals.

I currently use either Exide L3 or Exide L5.
Perfect fit.
Just remember to hook up the vent hose.

Interstate supply Volvo batteries in Canada. Not had any issues even after many years of Canada winters.

I'm using a 10+ year old World Source One lead-acid battery I got from a junkyard. Still tests good and started fine at -20C. Have never had corrosion on terminals and 0 out-gassing. 10/10 would buy again.

I have bought the kirkland brand from Costco.
I think that it's made by Jhonson, so same as Varta.
Physical fit is very good.
Only had it for two years so far, I'll see how it holds over time.

Costco in the US (or at least in my neck of the woods) now sells Interstate batteries at a very reasonable price.
They fit just like the originals. So far I am very happy with them, I bought 3 of them already.

There are only a few battery makers and they private label for everyone. East Penn Manufacturing in Berks County PA. is one of the largest.
