Is there any reason that the above mentioned catalytic converters for a '03-'07 XC70 would not fit my '02 V70 XC?

Is there an actual physical difference, or is it just because of the model change from V70 XC to the XC70?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn
I've never owned the earlier P2 models so I don't know if it will fit or not? They might of changed the exhaust when they changed the engine from 2.4L to 2.5L?

I know the non-turbo P2s have different CATs with the upstream O2 sensor mounted into the manifold instead of the downpipe.

Just curious. How much power do you expect to extract from your engines so that you feel the need for larger exhausts? If it's just for sound then catback or even just the rear muffler will get you quite far.
I have a downpipe. The stable boost went up from 10 to 12 PSI, with spikes over 14 PSI. It scared me to death when I decided to quickly change the line and pushed it to the metal, almost crashed into a car moving ahead of me. Engine pulls severely harder in 3+ gear now.

Not sure though how much of that power increase is a downpipe's job, because my leaking turbo was also replaced with a new Volvo 14T at the same time. The ECM runs Stage 1 tune from Hilton, too.

I would bet it's all the turbo.

Perhaps. Though I would not pay $1200 for a new Volvo cat when I can get a nice stainless steel DP for 1/3. I can dare and replace a Magnaflow cat when it burns out, which is cheap, like $100. Noob welder... :)
