2012 XC60 won’t start

I was driving home and had no issues until I was a couple miles from home. I had the ac on and suddenly the windshield got all fogged up. Then I smelled something burning (not sure what) but definitely not coolant, I had some coolant issues with my last Volvo so I’m familiar with that smell. I turned the ac off, got home, I left it running and popped the hood and there was smoke that appeared to be coming out of this one spot. I’ll post a pic. Next day, nothing, key works everything lights up but it won’t start. No other messages except what was already there (fill washer fluid). It’s got plenty of oil and coolant btw. Anyone know what this thing I have circled is? Thanks

The location you circled is above the compressor for the air conditioner

The 3.2 has a R.E.A.D. rear end ancillary drive

Which means that the serpentine belt is at the back of the engine above the transmission


As for the no start issues it seems that you had an electrical failure.

Depending on your level of experience you may want to get outside help

Thanks for the reply! I have almost zero experience lol so I’m having it towed to my mechanic, hopefully I’ll know something in a day or two.
That sounds expensive btw. Someone else I talked to said electrical too so that’s probably it.
I’ve only had this car about 6 months so I don’t know it’s history other than the carfax.
