If it will rev up in park it is not the accelerator position sensor. If the accelerator position sensor was defective, the engine would have no way of knowing when to rev in park.

You need to have the car interrogated. Get it to tell where it hurts.
Vida/DiCE is the best Volvo interrogator. But anything is better then no interrogation.

Break sensor? Are you planning on breaking something?

Do the brake lights come on when you push the brake pedal.
Does the cruse control disengage when you press the brake pedal?

No dude not planning on breaking anything... Except maybe your jaw if you wanna keep being a jerk....Im new to Volvo...jusy trying to trouble shoot man...no need for remarks....

Anyways I know quite a bit about cars man have rebuilt transmissions done timming chains, rebuilds...

Trying to to find out why my car wont go over 3o00rpm...
Today I put the pedal from a 2001 v70 t5 wagon As well..and now it gets up and goes still not to what I think it should be though. But I dont know.

I have been told try the etm but havnt had the 600 to buy xemodex...butxemodex...I did swap out with a junk yard one with no change...but now I have this one that I am going to install from the 2001 v70 t5 . It has the xemodex sensor installed.(I installed the spacer one one the yellow tag one that was in the 1999 v70xc with no change) so it has had 2 diff ETMs in it with no change....
I am going to install the one from 01 t5 tmro and will post results...

Dose anybody have any imput on this situation???

I am going to restore/rebuild this car for my teenage son and want to get it running solid befor going threw suspension and so on. Going to redo all suspension and eventually rebuild enginge/tranny... Get 100 safe/solid for my son!!!!

Thanks guys
